"Sweetness all around," Lex said, looking around.  "We're missing someone.  Little dudes, where's your musically inclined brother?"

Paul giggled. "He's music-ing in his room. I think he misses Kat, so he's playing music to try and get her to come see him."

Lex gave him a puzzled look.  "Playing music will make her come see him?"

Paul nodded, it making perfect sense in his kid mind. "Because they play music together, so when True plays music, it's so Kat can hear."

Lex stared at him.  "Ever thought of writing romance books?" he finally asked.

Now Paul looked confused. "Why would I wanna write mushy stuff?"

"Because you're good at it," Lex smirked, standing.  "I'm going to go try to wake him out of his music coma.  Lays, you want to help?"

Layla nodded. "Sure. I'd love to at least watch." She marked her spot in the book with a piece of paper and set it on the table before she followed Lex. Her leg was only a little stiff now, and after moving a little, she didn't really seem to limp at all now.

Lex opened the door and peered into his brother's room.  "True?  Hey, True!  Helllloooo!"
True was clearly not in this world, lost in his world of music.  He had Kat's keyboard up on his desk and plugged into the laptop so as he played it recorded into the laptop.  His keystrokes were soft and gentle as he played.  He still didn't know the power of his songs for other people except his brother and the tenderness and sorrow were clear in his tone as they caressed Layla and Lex's ears.

He let his fingers come to rest on the keys and just sat for a moment.

Layla's jaw was agape. She knew True was a musician, but she hadn't realized how good of one he actually was. She felt emotions stir in her, and that deeply impressed her as she reached out and held Lex's hand.

Lex glanced at her, somewhat confused, but took her hand and held it.  To him, unaffected by powers, his brother's song was just a good song.  "True?" he tried again.
True jumped and looked up blankly.  "Oh, hi, evening!"
"Morning," Lex corrected.  "Ready for breakfast?"
"It's morning already?" True said in surprise.

Layla nodded. "Yeah..... Gaster made pancakes and sausage."

True turned his chair around then paused, looking at Layla quizzically.  "You okay?"
Lex turned to look at her and frowned.  "Your eyes are watering."
"It's called crying, Lex," True said dryly.

Layla sniffed and wiped her eyes. "I'm fine. I might have just gotten something in them." She lied and tried to get a grip on herself. What was wrong with her? She didn't normally get this emotional over a simple song.

"Okay," Lex said, turning around and heading for the kitchen.
True patted her arm sympathetically.  "It's alright.  Come on, let's go eat, yeah?"

layla just followed Lex and washed up for breakfast.
Gaster looked at the dining room table and mused to himself. "Might have to get a bigger one here soon.... it's getting crowded with everyone sitting around it...."

Sam and Paul got ready and sat in their normal spots, and Ashton woke up after a couple more moments and washed up, sitting on Lex's side that Layla wasn't on.

"Maybe we should get one of those giant round tables and eat out in the yard," True grinned.
"That'll work until winter sets in in a couple of months," Lex pointed out.
Shuni sat next to Ashton.  "Maybe Lex and Ashton can build a big eating room out there!" he suggested happily.

"I think you overestimate my building skills, Shu." Ashton murmured.

Gaster considered. "I do like the idea of a round dining table though... and we could have a lazy suzan in the middle."

Shuni frowned.  "What's a lazy Susan?  Isn't it better to have an energetic Susan?"
"What is a lazy susan?" Lex asked.

"It's a raised disc like part of the table that can spin." Gaster explained. "It would let me pass something to you by just turning it like a wheel."

"Oh, okay.  Why's it called a lazy susan?" Shuni asked.

Gaster paused a moment. "I genuinely do not know." He said honestly.

"Let's call it the lazy Jane," Lex smirked.
"Why Jane?" True asked.
"Because it takes less time to say, making us lazier," Lex pointed out.

Layla smiled and Gaster chuckled at that.

"He....ck, let's just call it an LJ than." Ashton pointed out. "That's even shorter still."

"That'll work," Lex agreed.
"You're both crazy," True replied.
Shuni giggled, "I think they're funny!"
