DT Serum, Primary Testing In Progress

Kat smiled. "I've heard a cover of that. Maybe I could do the piano from that, and you the guitar from the original?"

"I think we could rock that," True agreed, grinning. "Another pancake?"

Kat smiled and nodded. "Yes please. What were you thinking as far as tempo?"

True considered. "Nothing too heavy. Slow, passionate, but not lagging. It's gotta have the soft contemplative, almost bitter tone of the original, but the heaviness and weight of the modern age."

Kat nodded. "I like the sounds of that." She smiled. Kat was looking forward to doing this cover now!

True grinned and saluted her with his orange juice. "Then here's to us! Unfortunately, I need to help my family finish packing up. We're moving to a new house."

"Oh, that's exciting!" Kat said. "What area of town?" She asked before she took a bite.

"Um," True glanced at Gaster. "What area of town is that, Dad?"

Gaster smiled and told them. Kat smiled. "That's actually not too far from where I'm staying."

"Awesome, then it won't be much of a commute for us to work together," True grinned.

Kat smiled at that. "I have a piano at my place, but no good setup for recording sadly."

"That's okay. Is it alright if I bring my guitar to your place and we can practice, then we can talk to the studio about recording?" True suggested.

Kat nodded. "Sure. I can show you around the area more after you move too. There's a cute little music shop kind of hidden out of the way. They don't sell many instruments, but they have various records and small things."

True brightened at that. "Seriously? That sounds retro!" Seeing everyone pretty much finished up, he backed up and started cleaning up. "You want anything else before I put it away?"

Everyone politely declined, and Kat helped pick everything up and offered to do dishes.

True shooed her off. "You're a guest! Guests don't clean."

"Well, how else am I suppose to thank you all for your hospitality?" Kat countered.

"By sitting back and relaxing?" True suggested. "Let Sam show you his robots or Paul tell you all about... everything?"

Kat frowned. She clearly was still stubborn about helping.

True smirked at her. "Hey, Paul, you want to tell Kat what you thought of her singing?" he asked, hoping his little brother would swamp the girl.

Paul smiled and started chattering to Kat. As True had hoped, the little guy had definitely taken hold of Kat's attention for a while. They went to the living room so Paul could talk to Kat.

True smiled and started cleaning up. As he worked, he glanced at Gaster. "Dad... I have a favor to ask. Not for me, for Kat."

Gaster nodded. "Yes? What is it?"

True took a deep breath. "Do you think you could get Kat a job? Just something little. Safer than where she's working now."

Gaster frowned and scratched his chin in thought. "I can see what I can do, but I am not sure if I can find a job hiring a musician-slash-DJ."
