Gaster smiled softly and hugged Shuni back. "Yes, she would be very proud, wouldn't she."

(Heading to sleepytime junction... nighty night!)

Suni nodded matter of factly.  "She would be.  You good man and have three good boys.  Why not be proud?"

Gaster smiled and led Shuni out of the lab building. "She would like you too. She liked cats a lot too."

"Good people love cats," Shuni said as stoutly as though he were stating a fact.  And in his mind, he was!  He followed Gaster closely, staying right on his new protector's heels.

Gaster led Shuni to a smaller clothing store. There would have been more options at the mall, but he didn't want to overwhelm the kid. "All right, find some clothes you like and would want to try on, okay?"

Shuni looked around, trying to decide where to start.  There so many options!  Finally, he decided to go with the pants.  Pants were important.  They protected... things.  Like his legs.  Pants turned out to be easy.  They were all close in color, just different in fabric.  He went through the stacks talking to himself as he picked up and felt all the different kinds.

Gaster smiled and went a little deeper into the store. He found a tee shirt that had a big cat face on it. He softly chuckled before he found one he thought would fit Shuni and went to show it to him. "Thoughts?"

Shuni was holding up a pair of pants and trying to figure out how one knew f they were the right size.  He looked up at Gaster and jumped.  Then he grinned.  "That looks like Mew Mew!"

Gaster smiled. "You can try it on in a bit. Ah, I think those pants would be a little too long for you. Would you like some help figuring out your size?" He offered.

"Yes, please," Shuni said.  "I don't know how to tell without wearing, and you don't do that in a store."

"This is a store that will let you try stuff on, but you can't walk out with it unless you pay." Gaster explained. He set the shirt down and grabbed a couple pairs on pants, and showed how to hold them up to yourself and figure out if the waist and legs were the right size.

Shuni followed Gaster's instructions, enjoying the act of pants judging.  He picked out two pairs he liked.

Gaster guided Shuni to the back and instructed him on how to use the tiny rooms to change into the clothes he wished to try on.

Shuni went into the little room and pulled on a pair of pants and the "Mew Mew" shirt before coming out.  He looked up at Gaster expectantly.  "Does this fit?"

Gaster looked Shuni over. "I think those fit you very well. While you try on the other pants, would you like me to find a few more shirts?"

"Okay!" Shuni agreed happily, lifting his knees and twisting.  He liked fitting clothes!  He high-stepped his way back into the changing room to try on the other pair.

Gaster smiled. He was glad Shuni seemed happy. He found a different cat shirt, as well as a few different colored shirts.

Shuni willingly tried on everything Gaster told him to, wriggling happily in each new outfit.  So warm and comfy!

Gaster also picked out a few jackets and sweatshirts for Shuni, and even found some kitty cat pjs for the boy. Once he had a nice sized wardrobe Shuni liked, Gaster offered to buy it all for Shuni.

"This is not too much?" Shuni asked worriedly.  He didn't want to be a burden on the kind Gaster.  Clothes were expensive!

Gaster shook his head. "It isn't too much at all. Besides, I can get a discount here." As he collected the clothes to check out, he saw one more item he threw into the mix before Shuni really saw what it was. Gaster would try and surprise the boy with that one.

Shuni nodded and followed Gaster, still distracted.  A lot of this stuff was shiny!  It glistened and gleamed and sparkled in the lights.

Gaster paid, pulling out an old family discount card from when his wife used to work here as a manager. He still got a discount from it, even though he rarely walked in anymore. As he walked out, he stuck the hat he bought for Shuni on his head. It was soft, black, and had little kitty ears sticking out of the sides.

Shuni looked up to ask Gaster a question and stopped when he saw the kitty hat.  He burst into giggles, eyes sparkling.  "Gaster, you're a kitty!" he cried in delight.

Gaster chuckled and put the hat on Shuni's head. "There you go. Something to keep your head warm." He said kindly.
