Layla smiled and happily followed Lex. She couldn't help but giggle a little when Lex looked back at her. Once downstairs, Layla got two plates of leftover breakfast for her and Lex, handing him a plate.

Ashton stroked Night some. "And you aren't helping, are you?" He muttered. "Cat...."

"Morning, you two!" True said cheerfully as they came down.  "It's cleaning day today, and I need you two to help."
"But-" Lex tried to object.
"Geena is coming home today, and we need to make a good impression," True explained.
Lex groaned.  "Oh, fine!  I'll take the kitchen, then."
"Thank you, Lex," True grinned.  "Ashton!"
"I go get him!" Shuni said, scampering up the stairs.

Night purred softly, paws kneading the pillows.  Mmm, nice!

"Living room." Layla called. "And after that, I'll claim the dining room too."

Ashton stayed where he was, content to just pet Night a bit longer. Whatever it was True wanted, it could probably wait, or be done without him.

"Deal," True said cheerfully.  "Just don't forget you gotta clean your own rooms, too."
"You're such a dictator," Lex grumbled, shooing the other boys away from the table when they finished so he could clean up.

Shuni let himself in Ashton's room and climbed up on his bed.  He sat cross-legged, watching him.  "You aren't sleeping, are you?" he asked softly.

"I think upstairs is already clean." Layla smiled at True. "Ashton told me before he makes a habit of keeping it clean up there, with the exception being Lex's room, which is also already clean." She rinsed off her dishes and set them in the sink before fetching a hair tie to pull her hair up into a messy bun so it was out of the way.

"Nah, not really." Ashton told Shuni as softly, still stroking his kitten. "What's up?"

"Nice going," True approved.  "Okay, kiddos, we need to be getting to school."

"Everyone else," Shuni answered, laying down next to Ashton and watching the kitten.  "I can help you sleep, if you want.  You know I did before."

Paul excitedly got his stuff together and frowned. "But True.... I can't clean my room for mom and go to school...." He seemed genuinely concerned about this dilemma.

Ashton shook his head and gently removed Night from his neck. "I appreciate the offer, but you have more important things to worry about. I'm fine." Ashton stretched, making his back pop in a satisfying way.

True smiled.  "Do you trust me to clean your room for you?"

"I worry about you not sleeping.  Making you sleep is no trouble for me," Shuni said softly. 
Night mewed softly and shook himself.

Paul smiled and nodded, hugging True tight. "Yes! Thank you!"
"I'll do Dad's room." Sam offered. "I know how he likes to keep things 'organized,' or at least picked up in a way he can find everything."

Ashton shook his head and looked for clothes to wear for the day. "You still have more important things to worry about. Besides, I'm more than used to this. I promise you I am fine, Shuni."

"Thanks, Sam," True grinned, handing him his coat.  "Come on, Paul, Let's get going.  Lex?  You'll look after Shuni?"
"Sure," Lex said.
"Thanks!  Come on, we gotta go if we don't want to be late."

Shuni slid off the bed and hugged Ashton.  "Okay.  I love you, big brother!"

Sam pulled on his coat and met with Paul at the door. Paul was bouncing in excitement.

Ashton chuckled and Shuni back. "Love ya too, Shu."He ruffled his little brother's hair. "Now, what was True yelling about?"

True headed out with his brothers, taking Paul to school.

Shuni brightened at that and began eagerly babbling all about how Geena was coming home to live.

Paul seemed to skip and bounce the whole way there. "I can't wait to come home and have a mom!"

Ashton nodded and listened as he pulled on a clean shirt. "That's pretty cool." He smiled at Shuni a little sadly. "I'm glad we have a better family than the last we had, eh?" He said softly. "This one treats us right, and it's a lot easier to smile and be happy here."

True chuckled softly.  "I'm glad you're happy, Paul.  I am, too.  Very happy!"

Shuni studied Ashton.  "You aren't happy right now.  Why?"

Paul giggled. Once they got to school, he hugged both True and Sam before racing off.

Ashton sighed. "Just... remembering." He said softly. After a moment he shook his head. "But that's the past. Now, there are more important things to be done today, right?" He asked Shuni with a smile, trying to be more upbeat for Shuni's sake.

"Right!" Shuni said happily.  "Let's go help clean!"  He bounded down the stairs toward his room.  It was fairly clean, but it was very... catty.

Ashton followed his little brother, and offered to clean the garage. After he was done (not that there was much to do), he messed with the drums some, getting a feel for which ones made what sound, and what he could all do with the symbols.

True got home and pitched in cleaning.  He took care of the floors, sweeping and scrubbing every square inch.  He sang as he worked, and Shuni soon joined in, singing more enthusiastically then anything else.

Layla smiled and hummed along softly. At one point, as she passed Lex when they were cleaning, she pecked a small kiss on his cheek for no reason at all.

Once done in the garage, Ashton cleaned the bathrooms. He didn't sing or hum, but still worked diligently,

Lex jumped at the surprise kiss then smiled faintly before turning back to his work.  The kitchen sparkling clean, he moved on to the next portion of the house.  With so many helping hands, it didn't take long for the entire house to turn beautifully clean.

The doctor looked over Geena's charts once more.  "Okay, everything looks good.  I want to do an ultrasound to check on the baby, and then you'll be free to go."
Geena smiled in relief, glancing at Gaster.

Layla smiled when they were done. "Maybe some cookies?" She suggested. "Fresh baking cookies is always a welcome smell..."

Gaster nodded. "Sounds good. Thank you, doctor."

Lex brightened a little at that.  "Cookies sound awesome.  Might want to ask Shuni if it's okay if you use his stove."  He winked at Layla.

"Of course!  Lean back, please and pull up your shirt."
Geena did as she was told, trying not to squirm at the cold gell.  She watched the screen, smiling faintly at the sight.  The baby was so tiny!  And yet so perfect.  It was hard to even see the baby, but the doctor was examining the rest of the uterus.  
"Everything looks perfect!" the doctor said.  "Whenever you're ready, just check out at the front desk."

Layla giggled and found the kid. "Shuni?" She asked nicely. "May I use the stove to make some fresh chocolate chip cookies?"

Gaster smiled at the monitor at what was his and Geena's child. Once the doctor left, Gaster lightly kissed Geena. "I am ready whenever you are, my dear."

Shuni nodded.  "Okay!  Have fun making cookies!  I'm going to go watch Ashton play."

Geena nodded, brushing a tear away.  "I'm ready," she said, standing up carefully.  She felt woozy and off balance, aching and sore, but moving.

Layla smiled and headed back to the kitchen, gathering all the ingredients she needed. Once she had a batter made, she asked Lex to taste test the dough for her.

Gaster smiled and stayed right beside his fiance, there to support and help her should she want it. He wanted to be there for her, and at the moment, he felt that was all that mattered.
