DT Serum, Primary Testing In Progress

Sam smiled and walked with True to meet their dad at the front of the building.

"Hey, Doctor Dad. How'd the work go?" True asked.

Gaster sighed. "I hit a wall. No matter. I am determined to work through it. I know I can do it, and I know it's possible. I just need to figure out the correct formula and combination." He did seem to be frustrated, although he also did his best to hide it around his family.

"Want to talk about it?" True invited.

Gaster shook his head. "No thank you. I believe I need to step back and leave it alone for a while before I come back to it. Perhaps the solution will come then." Sam looked up at his dad before he looked at True. "Did you come up with a song or two?"

"I have a couple of ideas. I'm just not sure which to choose," True admitted. "Maybe I should keep a couple on hand just in case."

Sam nodded. "Which songs were you thinking?"

True smiled. "You'll have to find out same time as everyone else."

Sam smiled and laughed. Soon enough, they reached the school.

True made sure his brake was locked and watched the little heads for Paul's.

(When was the radio thing?)

(Friday. What about that being the next in game day?)

Paul ran up, holding some stapled papers in his hand. "I got a B+ on my test!" He said happily. For the little guy, this was clearly a very good grade for him.

(Wasn't Thursday family day?)

True opened his arms. "Well done!! That is so awesome!"

Paul hugged him, grinning widely and super happily. Gaster and Sam seemed really proud too.

(Ah. Then sure. Tomorrow it is!)

"I am really proud of you, little bro," True told him softly as he hugged him tight.

Paul hugged him back, so happy True thought of him as a brother. Gaster smiled.

"Let's eat. I'm starving!" True said, turning Paul around to sit on his lap like always. "What's for dinner, and who's cooking?"

Gaster scratched his chin. "Since Paul did so well, what do you say for me getting a few strip steaks and cooking those up?" The younger boys seemed all for that idea.

"Sounds mouth-wateringly good to me!" True cheered.

Gaster smiled. "All right then. You three go on to the house. I will stop and get things for dinner. True and Sam, please make sure Paul does his homework."

"You hear that, Paul? So no partying until after your work is done," True told him, smirking.

Paul nodded firmly. "I am going to get my homework done!" He said certainly.

"Awesome! Sam, can you get the door, please?" True asked as they went up the drive.

Sam jogged ahead and unlocked and opened the door. "There you go. Is it okay if I go downstairs and work on my robot?"

"Go for it," True said. "Paul, do you want to set up your hoework on the kitchen table? I can help you. "If you want it.

Paul nodded. "Yes please!" He went to the table and got his homework out. With True being over often, there was already a chair pulled away from the table and against the wall so True could be at the table if he wanted. Paul had math and language arts homework tonight.
